Over 55s InterClub League Rules Four Rinks (2 home, 2 away) POINTS 2 points each winning rink= 8 maximum 2 points aggregate score at each venue= 4 maximum 6 points total aggregate= 6 Total points available= 18 maximum Matches are 21 ends (4 hours maximum including the trial ends) If a game is being played and, having reached the allotted time, the last end is killed that end will not be replayed. Midweek fixtures preferred . However, weekends may be offered subject to each club’s availability and approval. Fixtures are to be arranged at least 14 days before the scheduled month of the match. Home and Away games need not necessarily be on the same day or time. Players are only eligible to play in either the home or the away venue for each fixture. Clubs are to confirm fixtures in writing. Nearer the time of the agreed date contact should be made to ensure that everything is in place as arranged. DRESS GREY TROUSERS, WHITE SHIRT AND CLUB TIE. Approved bowling shoes. Coloured shirts are optional providing all players from the same club are dressed alike . CLUB STICKERS MUST BE USED Rink fees to be paid by the home club. Eligibility Players to be 55 or over on or before 31st December 2008. A player who has membership of a club that does not have a team in the Over 55 League can now play for another club in the league providing he becomes a member of that club and is 55 or over on the 31st of December 2008. Match dates are scheduled to take place during the months October to March. All matches to be completed by the 18th March 2009. Promotion and relegation is two up and two down. Trophies will be presented to the winning teams. A team arriving late for the agreed start of the match must play to the end of 21 ends. If a club cancels 2 matches in a season that club will have their points for the season withdrawn. All results for that team will be null and void. The club will be banned from playing in the following season and will have to re-apply in writing to re-join the League in the season after that. If a match is not played (eg 2 rinks at one venue or a full match) the matter will be referred to the County Seniors Executive who will determine what course of action shall be taken having taken into account all circumstances presented to them by the teams involved. If a match is cancelled without good cause the non-offending team will be awarded the maximum points but no shot allowance. If half a match is cancelled then the non-offending team will be awarded 12 points and the remaining 2 rinks will play for the balance of 6 points. Clubs with two teams in the league a player can only play for one of the two teams The dress for the Over 55s Challenge Trophy (top two teams in each division) will be white trousers, club coloured shirts and white or brown shoes. All players from the same club must be dressed alike.
